Spartan Performance Academy
Aside from offering physical benefits, regular exercise is a proven stress reliever and can be a great confidence booster for teenagers. It can also inspire in students a positive mindset towards school and life, and encourage them to habitually pursue the best version of themselves — that is the philosophy of the Spartan Performance Academy.
Their mission is to use exercise to coach students of all levels of athleticism through physical and mental obstacles in the weight room and to show them that perseverance through struggle can lead to growth and success. They also work to dispel common myths about health and fitness that kids encounter online and in social media today.
2020欧洲杯网址APPThe Spartan Performance Academy is a third-party organization that works with Solebury School. Their certified strength and conditioning coaches oversee the weight room in our Athletic Center on a daily basis. They also run our Fitness for Beginners after-school activity, as well as our Strength Training for Athletes after-school activity, and they develop the strength and conditioning programs for our athletic teams — all at no charge.
Students who would like a more individualized program can opt for the Spartan Performance Academy after-school activity (available all three trimesters) for a fee; it includes a full biomechanical risk for injury assessment, and a fully individualized program.

Meet the Coaches
2020欧洲杯网址APPThey're available in the gym Monday through Friday and often at night and on weekends (Coach Anthony Morolda is a Solebury School dorm parent who lives on campus).
Anthony Morolda CPT, CSCS
"Living on campus and being a dorm parent allows me to get to know the kids really well. I've seen some incredible transformations in the weight room both physically and mentally — kids who were struggling with self-esteem or anxiety who found confidence, and kids who simply got stronger and found a love of health and exercise. My goal is to create an atmosphere in the gym where everyone feels comfortable and uses this space to help better themselves in all aspects of their life." —Anthony
A graduate of Rowan University with a degree in Health and Exercise Science, Anthony was a three-sport athlete in high school (baseball, basketball, football) and played football in college. He broke his leg at 19 years old, but after six months of intense rehab, he was able to get back on the field. This experience led to his career in working with athletes, helping them prevent and come back from injuries.
Sydney Muntone, CFSC
2020欧洲杯网址APP Sydney grew up with a strong passion for sports and physical fitness. She played field hockey in high school, earning first team All-State for three straight seasons. Sydney went on to play at the Division 1 level at Drexel University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in sport management. She interned with both the Drexel University Strength & Conditioning program and Temple University Strength & Conditioning program. Sydney is an NSCA (National Strength & Conditioning Association) All-American, and a Certified Functional Strength Coach.
“Fitness has always been an extremely important part of my life. It gave me a strong work ethic, discipline and taught me how to overcome any challenges I was faced with. I want to help the Solebury community reach their fitness and wellness goals, while also learning to love the process and apply it to any other parts of their lives. The gym should be a place where any individual feels safe, welcome and ready to persevere.”--
The Spartan Performance Academy also works with faculty, staff, parents, and alumni. If you have any questions about their services, or you're interested in working out with them, contact them at firstname.lastname@example.org.
